In their earliest incarnation, wind chimes were used to repel birds, pests, and evil spirits. Though they can still be used for the same intent today, we tend to use them differently. Now we can, and often do, use them to benefit to our health and well-being.

Wind chimes promote relaxation with their soothing sounds, allowing stresses and anxieties to release and disperse. They encourage inner peace and conscious awareness as well as opening up your creative flow. They can even help lower blood pressure.

In Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of creating a harmonious environment, wind chimes are believed to have the power of redirecting energy in a space. Many people believe that wind chimes can bring good fortune, health, and prosperity to the owner through the practice of Feng Shui. Wind chimes have also been known to promote calmness and reduce stress. It is believed that the tones that they make can unblock emotional stress and bring a feeling of inner peace and higher awareness.

There are chimes to match all types of personalities and styles.

Seven Stone Chakra Chime – The seven stones of this chime’s clapper are aligned in an ascending column, just as the seven chakras are aligned along the spine in the human body.

Precious Stone Chimes – Including Amethyst, Lapis, Turquois, and Adventurine.

Healing Chime – This one is precisely tuned to create the illusion that there are more tones than tubes!

Emperor Harp Chime – With a sound like giggling fairies, this harp will surely capture the hearts of everyone in your household!

Fung Shui Chimes – A beautiful combination of blue stones, platinum gray tubes, and red-toned wood, this chime is designed to work well hanging in the open or up against a wall.

….and more.

This article is so great. I happen to be a “connoisseur” of wind chime and The Open Mind center has some of the sweetest sounding chimes I’ve ever heard. I know this because I have a special collection of chimes that I play with my Gemstone Singing Bowls as a Sound Healing Therapist. The giggling fairy chime is my fav in the moment!
